Boston Jewelers Exchange Building is built.

Originally the Province Building or Province Block, it is located on the former property of the Province House at 333 Washington Street. It contains an Art Deco style lobby and upstairs hallways lined by small shops, many of them owned by dealers and diamond-cutters.
